This week is another busy week here at school.
On Monday the student council will start selling Auburn/Alabama footballs (paper) for .25 cents each. The money collected will go toward funding projects the student council does for our school. We will keep a running tally for who wins ... Auburn or Alabama. (# of footballs)
On Tuesday, Nov. 9th we will have Math night at school. Please come to our class at 6pm and play math games with your child. Come on in and see what we do. PTO will sell pizza at about 5:30.
On Wed. expect graded papers to come home.
Don't forget we HAVE NO SCHOOL on Thursday, Nov. 11th. We will take this holiday to honor our veterans for Veteran's Day. However, we do come back to school on Friday.
On Friday graded papers need to be returned and we have Library day.
Academically we are back to Day #1 being Monday and Day #5 being Friday.
This Friday we will have ALL testing. Reading story quiz, Spelling Test, Language Test and Math test. We will also start the timed SUBTRACTION drill to go along with our timed addition drill (we now have two) Best of nine will count as a real grade toward the report card.
The new nightly reading passage will also start Monday.
It IS November... so be thinking about what you are thankful for this week and share it with someone.
Have a great week.
-Mrs. Mainor
